Essendon 17.14 (116) def. Geelong 8.7 (55)

The Bombers had an excellent week against Geelong, knocking off their VFL side as well. Tom Bellchambers impressed for the Dons, kicking three goals and finishing with 26 hit-outs. Brent Stanton (25 touches) played well after being omitted.

It wasn't a great day for the Cats, however Scott Selwood put in another good effort, collecting 20 disposals, and laying 12 tackles.

North Ballarat 4.8 (32) def. by Williamstown 17.21 (123)

It was another tough week for North Ballarat, who were thumped by Williamstown. Leigh Masters was excellent for the Gulls, kicking four goals and collecting 25 disposals. Arryn Siposs also kicked four goals.

Matt Johnston again played well for North Ballarat, laying 13 tackles, to go along with 20 touches.

Werribee 17.10 (112) def. Collingwood 15.11 (101)

Andrew Swallow (31 disposals) has made his case for an AFL recall, helping Werribee to a tight win over Collingwood. Mitch Hibberd was also good for the Tigers, finishing with 23 disposals, and eight rebound 50s.

Mason Cox impressed for the Magpies, he kicked 4.2 in a strong performance up front. Matt Scharenberg (34 touches) was once again very good.

Port Melbourne 17.9 (111) def. Footscray 12.9 (81)

Port Melbourne kept their perfect record in tact, kicking away from Footscray in the final quarter. Dylan Conway kicked four goals for the Borough, while Khan Haretuku had 3.1 and 21 hit-outs.

For the Dogs it was Shane Biggs (27 disposals), and Mitch Honeychurch (23 disposals & two goals) that were very good.

Box Hill 18.8 (116) def. Richmond 13.16 (94)

Box Hill made sure they stayed on pace with Port Melbourne, knocking off Richmond in a high scoring affair. Andrew Moore kicked two goals, and had 32 touches, while Ty Vickery kicked two goals from just eight disposals.

Anthony Miles made a push for recall to the seniors, kicking a goal to go along with 25 disposals.

Coburg 14.5 (89) def. by Sandringham 15.10 (100)

Sandringham had a six goal final quarter, to help them claim a come from behind win over Coburg. Paddy McCartin again impressed, kicking four goals.

For Coburg, Hayden Blythe managed to hit the scoreboard, kicking three goals, he was one of the Lions' best.

Northern Blues 14.14 (98) def. Casey 6.7 (43)

Five goals to Kristian Jaksch has helped Northern Blues to a convincing win over Casey. Liam Sumner also performed well, kicking three goals.

James Harmes continues to push for senior selection for the Demons, as did Alex Neal-Bullen. Angus Brayshaw suffered another head knock, this time within the first three minutes of the game.
