Rising Western Bulldogs star Jamarra Ugle-Hagan is reportedly poised to put pen to paper on a multi-year extension to stay on at the Kennel.

While the former No.1 draft pick is yet to sign anything, Nine News reporter Tom Morris has stated an agreement between club and player is imminent.

As stated by Morris on X (formerly Twitter), the 21-year-old is set to agree to terms on either a two-year or four-year deal to remain in the red, white and blue.

Morris went on to add further detail, telling SEN Radio that the Oakleigh Chargers product can expect to see a boost to his bottom line going forward.

“We're talking good money, but I'm sure he could have got even better money elsewhere. It's been widely reported that the Hawks have interest, Richmond, Collingwood, Essendon, Sydney, these sorts of clubs were weighing up what they could offer him and how long that deal could be," Morris told SEN listeners on Wednesday.

“I'm not sure what the money will be at the Dogs but I do know that four years will take him to free agency, two years is obviously a shorter term.

“The order of events here is that his management has told clubs over the past few days that he'll be staying at the Dogs. Yesterday, the Dogs were informed by his manager Robbie D'Orazio that he will be staying and now it's just a matter of getting a deal done.”

Reports from The Herald Sun earlier this week pressed that the South Warrnambool native could expect to earn more than a million dollars per season once the ink dried on his new deal.

Should Ugle-Hagen agree to terms for four seasons rather than two, it would see the Bulldogs have both of their key forwards under lock and key until the of 2028 at a minimum after Aaron Naughton inked his extension which would see him stay put until the end of the cessation of 2032.

Both Ugle-Hagan and Naughton are expected to be selected for the Bulldogs' Round 2 clash against Gold Coast at Marvel Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
