Collingwood superstar Jordan De Goey will return this Friday night against Sydney at the SCG.

De Goey missed out on the Pies' win over St Kilda on the weekend, after the club tried to manage his shin problem.

Midfielder Taylor Adams was close to a return, but was ultimately ruled out after failing to prove his fitness. Mason Cox and Darcy Moore will also miss the clash against the Swans.

Adams completed most of the training session at Olympic Park Oval on Wednesday morning, but tweeted out his disappointment following the session.

Defender Tom Langdon will be out for an unspecified amount of time and could face surgery after injuring his right knee.

"We're still working that out. We're getting some opinions from the medical fraternity. He's had some issues with that knee before. We're still working out exactly what it is, but it's problematic," Buckley told the media on Wednesday.

"It's probably going to be at least a couple of weeks whilst we work out how it reacts to load. He couldn't load-bear on it by the end of the game and it blew up quite considerably.

"Talking to Langers today, he's disappointed, he's concerned about it. We need to find out a bit more about the injury before we know exactly how we're going to approach it – whether he needs surgery or whether it's just rest."

Collingwood is looking for their seventh straight win on Friday.
