Star Carlton defender Jacob Weitering is a test to return for the Blues' clash with West Coast this weekend.
It would be a welcome return for Carlton, with Jake Waterman spearheading the attack of an improved West Coast Eagles this year.
Weitering has not featured since Round 12 due to a calf injury.
Harry Dean has risen to the responsibility of shutting down important opposition forwards, keeping Aaron Cadman to one goal on Saturday.
“I got 10 kilometres out on Saturday. I'll be training fully today and testing on Thursday to see if I can go on Saturday. Frustrating, but at the same time, I'm glad I can sort of get a mini pre-season in and rehab it correctly without rushing it back," Weitering said on SEN on Tuesday.
The Blues have won five games in a row and with their next two games against bottom four opponents, Wildcard Round is on the radar under interim coach Josh Fraser.
