St Kilda have confirmed that Jade Gresham won't feature this weekend against Adelaide after a knee concern in Round 8's win over North Melbourne.

Gresham was subbed out of the 30-point win after receiving a knock to the PCL, with the club opting to take a cautious approach with the 25-year-old.

Despite senior coach Ross Lyon stating their were no concerns over Gresham during the week, the Saints confirmed on Friday that he had failed a fitness test and would be replaced in the squad by Leo Connolly.

"Jade Gresham has been replaced by Leo Connolly in Sunday's squad after failing a fitness test this morning," the club tweeted.

"We'll announce our final team at 5pm."

Gresham has played all eight games for the Saints this season, averaging 16.8 disposals per game, after featuring 18 times in 2022.

The Saints will be looking for their seventh win of the season when they take on the Crows in Adelaide on Sunday afternoon, while Adelaide will be looking to break a two-match losing streak.
