It's that time again to take a lighter look into yet another big week of AFL.

Here's what's happened this week.

Vaccination Mandate 

The AFL announced this week that all players and football staff are not allowed to return to the AFL in 2022 unless they are vaccinated for COVID-19.

The mandate has mostly been supported by the AFL community however some are opposing the new rule.

Richmond legend, Matthew Richardson, was commended by supporters  for his tweet below about getting vaccinated for the benefit of the community. Former Western Bulldog's star Adam Cooney retweeted Richardson's words on vaccination.

This comes after Melbourne Dees defender Tom McDonald said publicly that it was "ethically wrong" to force people getting the vaccination.

All eyes on the upcoming draft 

After a sleepy trade period, all eyes are on the upcoming draft with young potentials impressing at the AFL Draft Combine.

Jason Horne-Francis is likely to become a Kangaroo with the first pick following an impressive SANFL campaign.

Horne-Francis told the media this week that he hopes to have an impact at AFL level "straight away" and already sees himself at North Melbourne.

Another exciting prospect heading into the draft is Central District's Leek Alleer, who has broken the running vertical jump record in this year's AFL Draft Combine.

The 20-year-old key defender has played 11 games in the SANFL and amassed a 107cm leap in the vertical jump.

Dogs spend time at Tiwi Islands 

Following their heartbreaking loss in the Grand Final to Melbourne, a group of players from the Western Bulldogs have spent time at the Tiwi Islands.

The players visited remote areas, playing football and putting a smile on the local's faces.

The players shared heartwarming pictures of the trip to social media.

Speaking of pets and Fremantle, the Dockers posted this video below to their socials coming off the AFL trade period and securing Geelong's Jordan Clark.

The 21-year old speedy midfielder will make the move to the West after a total of 32 games with the Cats.
