The 2021 season was full of impressive goals, marks and memorable wins, but some feel-good stories emerged too as the league and the country adjusted to a new look AFL season.

1. St Kilda & Geelong's centre circle statement
Ahead of Geelong and St Kilda's Round 22 match at GHMBA Stadium, the two clubs made a powerful statement to address a particularly turbulent week in the AFL.
Just days earlier, news emerged of former Adelaide captain Taylor Walker making racist comments during a SANFL match, while months earlier, Saints veteran Paddy Ryder had been racially vilified online.

The two sides opted to form a huddle, alongside the umpires, in solidarity with Indigenous Australians, a sentiment echoed around the game and the country.
