“As Roosy explained in his press conference this morning, Heritier Lumumba won’t be playing again this year,” he told Melbourne TV.

Earlier, coach Paul Roos said the club would take a cautious approach to ensure Lumumba is 100 per cent fir by pre-season.

“We’re just hoping that ‘H’ gets right and comes back to pre-season and has a good year next year,” Roos said.

Meanwhile, small forward Jeff Garlett will face a fitness test after suffering to a skin infection on hi right leg.

“Jeff (was) a lot better today and we expect him to come in and have a run tomorrow and train on Friday,” Misson said.
