Scott Cummings was one of the hardest forwards to stop in his day, booting 349 goals from 128 games.

Recruited from Swan Districts, Cummings kicked eight goals on debut against Sydney in 1994 and earned himself the AFL Rising Star nomination.

He also had stints with Port Adelaide, West Coast and Collingwood, leading his team's goal kicking in 1994 and 1999.

His greatest achievement came during that 1999 season, when he also led the AFL with 95 goals to win the Coleman Medal.

After being lured to the Pies in 2002 by Mick Malthouse, Cummings appeared in just five games. He retired after that season at the age of just 28, his career being cut short due to a bad run of injuries.

Since his AFL career came to an end, Cummings has joined Robert Bird Group, a global consulting engineering firm.

Cummings also works for Crocmedia, and is still involved with certain match day functions with Collingwood.

St Kilda v GWS

"First v sixteenth. GWS will be too good but all you want to see from the Saints is a bit of effort."

Tip: GWS by 41 points

Carlton v West Coast

"The G' is not the Eagles most successful ground but they will get their second Melbourne win of the year against the young Blues who are shot of confidence."

Tip: West Coast by 34 points

Port Adelaide v Geelong

"Game of the round this one. Both sides are struggling in the ruck but Port at home will be strong, who they have a good record against."

Tip: Port Adelaide by 20 points

Fremantle v Western Bulldogs

"If Fremantle's pressure is on they will smack the Bulldogs, but the Dogs are an unknown quantity."

Tip: Fremantle by 30 points

Tip: Hawthorn by 18 points

Brisbane v Gold Coast

"I think the Suns will get the job done in a tight Q-Clash."

Tip: Gold Coast by 15 points

Melbourne v Richmond

"The Dees have to respond but Richmond's pressure will be far too great for them. Tigers will do it comfortably."

Tip: Richmond by 28 points

Collingwood v Essendon

"Both sides coming off surprise wins that turned their season around. The Pies are playing slightly better footy and will get it done on the greatest day of the year."

Tip: Collingwood by 12 points
