Fresh from delisting former No.3 draft pick Lachie Hansen earlier this week, North Melbourne has informed two more players that they will not be offered new contracts for 2018.

Rookies Will Fordham and Matt Taylor have been cut by the club.

Fordham was selected with pick No.33 in the 2014 Rookie Draft, but failed to play a senior game with the club.

Taylor, selected with pick No.43 in last year's Rookie Draft, also failed to make his senior debut at the club.

“It’s always a tough time of the year advising certain players that their contracts won’t be renewed and the past two days have been no different,” General Manager of Football Cameron Joyce told the club's website.

“Will and Matt have taken good strides and shown great development in their time with us and I sincerely hope their football journeys continue for many years to come.

“We wish them some individual and team success in the not too distant future regardless of where they end up playing next.”
