Richmond pair Hugo Ralphsmith and Rhyan Mansell have officially signed new contracts at Tigerland after being made to wait for fresh deals.

Mansell's deal, reported some time ago, was confirmed on Saturday morning, alongside Ralphsmith, who was also previously uncontracted for next season.

The duo's new deals are each one-year extensions.

Richmond General Manager of Football Blair Hartley praised Mansell and Ralphsmith's progress to this point.

"Rhyan and Hugo have shown that they can perform at AFL level in various roles," Hartley said as part of Richmond's club release on Saturday.

"We are excited to have these two young players returning to the Club in 2024, and with a strong pre-season, we are looking forward to seeing them continue to take strides next year.

"It is pleasing that they will be remaining at the Club."

Mansell played 17 senior games for Richmond in 2023, performing multiple roles to assist interim coach Andrew McQualter.

Ralphsmith, meanwhile, played 13 games and was made to work for his senior selection.

The Tigers, to this point in the off-season, have made just one delisting; farewelling SSP recruit Kaelan Bradtke just one season into his Tigerland tenure.
