Richmond premiership captain Trent Cotchin has been honoured by the club with fourth place in the best-and-fairest award to be named after him.
Cotchin led the club to three premierships, including the drought-breaking 2017 flag.
He played 306 games in the yellow and black, and was a three-time Jack Dyer Medallist. Cotchin also claimed the 2012 Brownlow Medal.
The Tigers did a shuffle of names for their top five, whilst Jack Dyer, affectionately known as Captain Blood, still holds the top spot.
Club great and AFL legend Kevin Bartlett has been anointed as the runner-up medallist. He was previously the fifth-placed winner.
Jack Titus, who was previously the name of the second-placed recipient, replaced by Bartlett, is now fifth.
Bartlett won the award on five occasions across his 403 games, as well as being a five-time premiership player for Richmond.
The third-placed player will now earn the Roy Wright Medal.
Wright was a four-time Jack Dyer Medallist and dual Brownlow Medallist across 195 games for the Tigers (1946-1959).
“We felt it was time to recognise two Richmond greats in Roy Wright and Trent Cotchin, while ensuring the four awards collectively acknowledge Jack Dyer Medallists from a multitude of generations,” Richmond chief executive Shane Dunne said.
“It was also important to us to elevate the Kevin Bartlett Medal from fifth to second. His resume speaks for itself, and our History & Traditions Committee was unanimous in its decision to recognise Kevin with the top honour after the Jack Dyer Medal.
“The Club has been in contact with the families, who were understanding of the decision and grateful to have had the honour across decades.”
