Retired Gold Coast forward Nick Holman will link up with his brother at the Kyabram Bombers in the Goulburn Valley League (GVL) for the 2027 season, returning to his former club.

Holman hung up his boots on his AFL career after 154 games and 11 seasons, initially playing for Carlton before joining the Suns.

Drafted to Carlton, where he only played nine games across two years, he was then picked up by the Gold Coast in the 2018 Rookie Draft. His 145 games since then see him sit equal 12th on the club's all-time games list, and he kicked 79 goals.

"We are excited to announce that Nick & Tom Holman have signed on for season 2027. With resumes as good as any, both Nick and Tom bring with them incredible skills and knowledge of the game to help take us to the top again," the club statement read.

"Retiring from the AFL at years end after 154 games, Nick will bring his hard-nosed approach to the GVL in 2027, looking to add to his 2013 Senior GVL premiership. Known for his tenacity, Nick also is a much-loved person around the club and someone the boys will love to run out with.

"Tom returns as one of Kyabram's most decorated footballers - with 5 GVL senior premierships to his name at a young age, he is a true leader of our club and a mentor for many of our juniors.

"The club is buzzing with this announcement, and we are stoked to have them back playing together in the red and black."

The Bombers finished fifth on the 2026 ladder and were eliminated in the preliminary final by Shepparton.
