Recently retired Collingwood forward Jesse White is reportedly considering making a switch to the NBL.

White, 29, was a star basketball player as a junior before focusing on AFL, and Sportsday's Mitch Cleary reports the former Swan and Magpie is currently training with NBL side, Melbourne United, as he seriously considers extending his professional sporting career.

“Extraordinary set of circumstances. [White is] Considering a code hop across to the NBL," Cleary said.

“He’s training with the Melbourne United NBL team.

“He’s a junior basketballer for Queensland growing up. He’s training with the team and considering a contract.”

White played 71 games for Sydney from 2007 to 2013, kicking 73 goals, before being traded to Collingwood where he played a further 56 games and booted 75 goals.
