Sydney forward Tom Papley has reportedly signalled his intent to return to Victoria at season’s end, with a number of Victorian clubs interested in the 23-year-old.

According to the Herald Sun, Papley has cited family as the reason for a potential move back to Victoria, although given he’s contracted at Sydney for another season, the Swans may not look to deal him away just yet.

Carlton has been in the market for a small forward, and are one of the clubs interested in Papley.

The forward has impressed for the Swans this season and is one of their hottest young talents, booting 27 goals from 16 games this campaign.

Papley has a haul of five to his name and two bags of four this season, showcasing his talent and potential.

The Blues have also been looking for a small forward who can apply pressure, and Papley can certainly fit the bill, averaging 3.5 tackles over his 76-game career.

Carlton was also linked with Sam Gray on Monday.
