Gold Coast Suns midfielder Kade Kolodjashnij has reportedly requested a trade to Melbourne.

Triple M footy reporter Tom Browne revealed the news on Tuesday morning, suggesting the former No. 5 pick in the 2013 Draft wants a fresh start.

“Kade Kolodjashnij has officially overnight sought a trade from the Gold Coast to Melbourne for a fresh start,” Browne said.

“He had some concussion issues this year but I guess that will add some outside run to the Demons and he’s also a versatile defender.”

The 23-year-old has played 19 games over the past two seasons, after battling concussion issues, although he was recently told they were neck-related injuries, which should not impact the longevity of his career.
