The most talked about 2018 free agent Tom Lynch, will join Richmond on a seven-year deal, according to The Age.

Richmond look set to lodge their offer to Lynch on Friday, on the opening day of free agency.

Lynch is expected to get close to $900,000 a year with Richmond. The Tigers have had to adjust their list with some players like Trent Cotchin, Alex Rance and Jack Riewoldt taking pay cuts in order to get the former Gold Coast captain.

The Suns have the option to match the seven year contract and force the Tigers into making a trade. If not, then the Suns can accept pick three and start another rebuild at the club.

The Suns also have pick two which can see them drafting two South Australian boys Jack Lukosius and Izak Rankine or the two Victorian brothers, Max King and Ben King.

Lynch will be the one of the first free agent signings with Andrew Gaff looking at joining North Melbourne and premiership ruckman Scott Lycett likely to go to Port Adelaide on a long term deal.
