According to The Age, Richmond have made an ambitious bid to sign Western Bulldogs star Katie Brennan for their debut AFLW season in 2020.

Richmond presented their list of player targets to the AFL on Wednesday for their debut season in the competition next year.

Brennan has been influential for the Bulldogs since the competition's inception and the Tigers see the centre half forward as an appropriate signing for the club's inaugural season.

Players who have been targeted by expansion clubs have the choice to either re-commit to their current club or join one of the new sides during the AFLW sign and trade period.

The four new AFLW clubs can sign up to 12 players during this period, which runs from Monday, April 8 until Monday, April 15.

Adelaide and GWS can both lose a maximum of four players between this period, as can all of the current existing Victorian clubs.

Fremantle and Brisbane, on the other hand, can lose up to eight players between this time-frame.
