Sydney's Zak Jones could be playing his final match for the Swans on Saturday afternoon, with reports suggesting he will don the red, white and black of St Kilda in 2020.

Jones - who has long been rumoured to eventually return to Melbourne during his career - is set to link up with the Saints next season, according to AFL Nation's Mitch Cleary.

Cleary believes Jones to the Saints has been in the works for most of the season, and is a big chance of happening.

“Zak Jones we think will end up at the St Kilda Football Club," Cleary said on Friday night.

"That’s been on the cards for most of the season.”

It's not the first time these two clubs will do business with each other in the trade period, after Dan Hannebery crossed over from the Swans to the Saints at the end of last season.

The 24-year-old has played 90 games for the Swans during his six-year career, and has career averages of 17.7 disposals and 3.4 marks per game.
