Hawthorn is considering a move for out-of-contract Adelaide midfielder Hugh Greenwood.

The 27-year-old is set to become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the 2019 season.

Since missing the first four games of the season due to injury, Greenwood has played 11 straight games for the Crows.

The midfielder has managed 45 games since his debut in round 9, 2017, and has been engaged in negotiations with the club throughout 2019.

Hawthorn has a good record converting ex-Crows, with Jack Gunston and Ricky Henderson both integral parts of the Hawks 2019 side.

Gunston, who left West Lakes at the end of 2011, has won three premierships with Hawthorn and achieved All-Australian selection in 2018, while Henderson leads the Hawks in disposals in 2019.

The Hawks have also been linked to Greater Western Sydney pair Stephen Coniglio and Jonathon Patton.

Patton is contracted with the Giants until the end of 2020, while debate continues over Coniglio’s future.
