Collingwood defender Tom Langdon will line up for the Pies in their semi-final clash with GWS at the MCG on Saturday night, although as it stands he doesn't have a contract for the 2019 season.

Both parties are still unable to agree on a reasonable price for Langdon according to the Herald Sun, with rival clubs set to swoop on the Magpie if the club can't lock Langdon down.

Langdon has played 77 games across five seasons for the Pies, including 20 this season, and every game since Round 9.

Collingwood need depth in their backline, given ACL injuries to Matt Scharenberg and Lynden Dunn will see them have postponed starts to the 2019 season, while Sam Murray's AFL future is currently in doubt.

Langdon isn't the only defender in black and white whose name could come up during the trade and free agency period in October, with youngster Darcy Moore out of contract and linked to a move to Sydney.
