Greater Western Sydney star Stephen Coniglio is a restricted free agent at the end of the 2019 season, as the 25-year-old's contract with the Giants runs out at season's end.

Coniglio will be highly sought after during the off-season and whilst Tom Browne believes Coniglio will remain with the Giants, he believes the midfielder will be in discussion with rival clubs during the bye.

It has been understood that clubs including Hawthorn and Carlton have expressed keen interest in the star midfielder.

"I think he'll stay at the Giants, but this is the bye, a bit test for what direction he'll take at the end of the year." Browne told the Hot Breakfast.

"There is some discussion that he will potentially talk to those clubs (Hawthorn and Carlton)."

Coniglio has scored 15 goals from his 12 games so far this season and continues to excite week in and week out. The vice-captain is averaging 27 disposals, four marks and 1.3 goals per game for the 2019 season.
