Out of contract Richmond small forward Tyson Stengle has interest from the Adelaide Crows.

The South Australian was drafted as a rookie by the Tigers in 2016 and has only managed to play two games.

Stengle kicked 33 goals in 19 games in the VFL as it wasn't enough for the pacey forward to break into the squad.

There are reports the Crows have shown a lot of interest for the 19-year-old who is heading back to home to talk about his future.

Richmond want to keep Stengle with a two-year deal to be put forward, but he is waiting for the Tigers' finals run is over as he believes he is still ready to play regular senior footy.

Stengle has heaps of competition with star Daniel Rioli, premiership duo Jason Castagna and Dan Butler, as well as Jack Higgins doesn't help his chance of selection.

Another up and coming talent, Shai Bolton, is out of contract.

Adelaide needs to find a replacement in the near future for Eddie Betts who is turning 32 this year. Betts has kicked 273 goals in 111 games whilst being at the Crows.

Stengle, who is the nephew of Sydney legend Michael O'Loughlin, is just one of many options that the club would like to add to their list.
