North released an official statement on its website: "Club is aware of an alleged incident involving Taylor Garner which occurred in Sydney on the weekend.

"The club is investigating the matter and will make no further comment at this stage."

The club has a higher standard of behaviour required and the leadership group will meet with Garner to discuss ramifications. The Roos have seen a turn in form recently but are unlikely of claiming a finals spot at 6-8, but off-field distractions are not the priority for the bottom eight club.
