A ruptured ligament in his big toe is set to sideline important Port Adelaide commodity Miles Bergman.

The club released a strangely ambiguous injury report on Monday advising only that Bergman would miss "a period of time".

The update came in the wake of his departure from Friday night's clash with the Bulldogs, which the Power lost by two points.

The Power expect a clearer timeline for Bergman's return to reveal itself following the surgery required to repair the ligament.

The versatile 24-year-old has been a reliably available contributor for his side since his 2021 debut, featuring in at least 19 games a year in all but one of his five completed seasons at the level.

Josh Lai, a youngster quickly finding his feet at the level, will miss his side's trip to Darwin where the Gold Coast Suns await, following a concussion sustained in the dying minutes of Friday night's bitter loss.

2025 Mid-Season Draft selection Mani Liddy is available for selection once again, after successfully recovering from groin surgery. The 24-year-old will no doubt be eager to add to the nine games he featured in across last year's campaign.

19-year-old Harrison Ramm may have to wait even longer to add to his solitary AFL appearance, after spraining his ankle in the SANFL on the weekend.

Port Adelaide will announce an extended squad to make the trip to the Top End come Tuesday, with the squad to be finalised on Thursday evening.
