A pair of knee injuries to Orazio Fantasia and Ryan Burton have soured Port Adelaide's comfortable victory over Fremantle on Sunday night.

Burton was subbed-out of the game late, while Fantasia was dealing with an issue that saw him miss last weekend's win over Collingwood.

Power coach Ken Hinkley said the club will await the results of scans to determine the severity of the injuries.

"Fantasia's knee is a bit grumbly, so there will be some scans needed there and Burton is the same," Hinkley said, per AFL.com.

"Both (have) a bit of a knee (concern), so there is an issue or two we might have to look at, but we will wait and see."

Fantasia's body has let him down in recent years but the former Essendon forward had seemingly put that behind him when he arrived at Alberton.

Now he may face an extended period out with Hinkley admitting he's not sure if it can be managed through the season.

"Fantasia has had a few battles with that knee over the last couple of weeks and we might have to do something (minor surgery) there if that is what it ends up being," Hinkley added.

"We will investigate that thoroughly over the next day and will make some decisions."

Port have battled other long-term injuries this season with Xavier Duursma and Zak Butters missing large parts of the year. They were also without Dan Houston for a spell as he overcame a shoulder issue.

The bye comes at the perfect time with the Power getting a chance to reset and rest some sore bodies.

They will be hoping the week off gives those on the injury list and those nursing niggles a chance to recover before their Round 13 clash with fellow premiership contenders Geelong.
