Port Adelaide have finalised their leadership group for 2023, with Tom Jonas set to lead the team as captain for the fifth season.

Jonas, who has played 203 games since his debut for the club in 2011, has been captain of the Power since the 2019 season, leading the club in 64 games as skipper.

The 32-year-old is among an unchanged leadership group, with vice-captain Ollie Wines and defender Darcy Byrne-Jones returning to their positions in the three-player leadership group.

Returning skipper Jonas said it was an "honour" to lead his side this season.

“It has been an absolute honour to captain this amazing club over the past four seasons, especially with two guys by my side who are great mates and great teammates,” Jonas said to club media.

“It is something I have never taken for granted, particularly because of the incredible people that have come before me and the strong group of leaders we currently have at the club.

“It means a lot to again be trusted to lead this group.”

Port Adelaide senior coach Ken Hinkley said the trio were "fantastic role models" and were deserving of the titles.

“In Tom, Ollie and Darcy, we have strong, well-respected leaders and we didn't see any reason to make a change given their quality as individuals and as a collective,” Hinkley said.

“They are fantastic role models on and off the field and continue to set the standard for the great group of emerging leaders we have at our club.”

Port Adelaide's season gets underway on Saturday, March 18 against Brisbane at Adelaide Oval.
