Collingwood are set to announce their new head-coach as soon as mid-September with interviews start to heat up.
Tom Browneย reported on Triple M that the Pies will make their announcement in the coming weeks with a number of candidates still left in contention for the role.
Browne is reporting that the Pies met with Port Adelaide assistant Michael Voss but the three-time premiership captain didn't have the best of second interviews.
"I've been told that Michael Voss has done two interviews with Collingwood, the second one didn't go that well," said Browne.
Richmond assistant Adam Kingsley reportedly impressed the Collingwood hierarchy in his second interview while former Adelaide coach Don Pyke is in contention but is not rushing into the process.
"Kingsley's done two interviews with Collingwood apparently both have gone really well," said Browne.
"(Pyke is) certainly in the mix for Collingwood", but is yet to fully commit due to his "strong ties with Sydney" and current role.
"Pyke is perhaps of the view that Brad Scott is in pole position for the Collingwood job, and doesn't want to get too involved until that plays out."
Scott may also have a play at the vacant Football Operations job at AFL House meaning the Pies may have to wait before they can make their decision in regards to the former North Melbourne coach.
