Pies defender requests move home

Collingwood defender Jonathon Marsh has requested a trade back home to Western Australia, citing personal reasons.

The Magpies released the following statement a short time ago:

Collingwood was today informed by Jonathon Marsh that for personal reasons he wants to return to his home state of Western Australia.

The 20 year-old defender, who hails from the Margaret River region of WA, explained that he needs to be closer to his family and friends.

Collingwood has been, and will continue to be, in contact with Jonathon and his family and will make certain Jonathon’s health and wellbeing are best served.

Jonathon has played 15 senior matches in his three seasons at the Holden Centre after being drafted in the fifth round of the 2013 national draft.
