The Western Bulldogs and GWS have reportedly agreed to a pick swap deal that will see two first-round selections change hands.

The deal will involve the Dogs sending their opening pick for next month's count - Pick 12 - to the Giants in exchange for two of GWS's selections - Picks 14 and 37, per afl.com.au's Cal Twomey.

The trade is expected to advance the Bulldogs' position in talks with Gold Coast over a move for wantaway Suns utility Connor Budarick.

Budarick has requested a move to the Kennel, which is yet to be secured ahead of Wednesday's 7:30pm (AEDT) trade period deadline.

The Dogs and Suns are also in talks over a trade that would see Jamarra Ugle-Hagan head north to Carrara, with that exchange likely to be separate from the Budarick one.

The Western Bulldogs will hold Picks 14, 33 and 37 following their trade with GWS, who will have selections 12 and 35 for the 2025 AFL Draft.

GWS have a couple of trades to potentially finalise of their own, with Melbourne star Clayton Oliver keen to join Adam Kingsley's list.

Giants backman Leek Aleer could still leave the club despite St Kilda backflipping on their pursuit of the South Australian. GWS have a three-year deal on the table for Aleer, should he wish to recommit to the club for 2026 and beyond.

AFL clubs will be able to complete pick swap trades come the AFL Draft, which is scheduled for November 19-20.
