Mark Jackson was about as unique a footy player as you'd ever see.

While the talent from South Fremantle led the goalkicking tallies for all three of his VFL clubs (Melbourne 1981, St Kilda 1983, Geelong 1983), ultimately it wasn't his football skill that generated headlines for the enigmatic Jackson.

From handstands in the goalsquare while at Melbourne, to playing pranks on club legend Trevor Barker and being sacked mid-season at St Kilda, to being reported four times in a single game playing for Geelong, the man known as 'Wacko Jacko' certainly was a character.

So, it was no real surprise when Jacko released a single, aptly titled "I'm An Individual" in early 1985. The track entered the Australian music Top-20 charts in the week ending April 15, 1985, reaching a peak of #15 a couple of weeks later.

Jackson would release another single ("Me Brain Hurts") in 1985, and a third track ("You Can Do This") in 1991, with neither reaching the heights of an ARIA chart mention.
