St Kilda great Nick Riewoldt has unveiled his AFL power rankings ahead of the season restart on foxfooty.com.au.
The five-time All Australian ranked every club 1-18 as teams prepare for Round 2, with some interesting selections made.
In the number one seed is Richmond, coming off a dominant grand final victory against GWS and comfortable 24-point win over Carlton in Round 1.
โTheyโve got a bankable style, we know they know their system, theyโre not going to be affected by their inability to train because theyโve played a certain way for a number of years now,โ Riewoldt toldย On The Couch.
โTheyโre not going to miss a beat.โ
The Tigers' opponent in tonight's blockbuster clash - Collingwood - come in at number three, with GWS (2) and West Coast (4) rounding out his top four sides.
Riewoldt ranks Port Adelaide as the fifth best side and one of the biggest improvers, who he believes will "grow and take another step" in 2020.
He predicts Brisbane to drop off from last year's meteoric rise, currently ranking them as the eighth best side in the competition.
The ex-Saints skipper cited their inability to compete with the heavyweight teams.
โTheyโve lost their last four the Lions, albeit against really good opposition,โ he said.
โRichmond twice, GWS and West Coast, but itโs the way teams have been able to score against them from the back half to inside 50, theyโve got to fix that.
