The Giants have interest in disgruntled Port Adelaide ruckman Paddy Ryder per AFL.com.au.

Ryder, 31, is out of contract at the end of the season and has been playing in the SANFL since round 14, with Scott Lycett, Charlie Dixon and Dougal Howard shouldering the load at ruck in his absence.

The Giants courted Ryder back in 2014 before he decided to sign with Port Adelaide, and with Shane Mumford showing signs of soreness after coming back from retirement and their backup options either ageing (Dawson Simpson) or not ready for the AFL (Kieren Briggs), Ryder might have a suitor come the end of the season.

The 2017 All-Australian will have to decide whether he wants to make another interstate move, as he did six years ago or stay at Port.
