West Coast ruckman Nic Naitanui took the grab of the season back in 2015, and was a deserved winner of the Mark of the Year award.

However, on the Eagles BACKchat podcast - hosted by defenders Will Schofield and Sam Butler - the 27-year-old said he was expecting a car, but admitted he didn't receive anything close to that.

"I actually have a funny story about the Mark of the Year," Naitanui said.

"So obviously being a relative of Ash Sampi - he got a Toyota Prado or something as a prize for Mark of the Year."

"My year - I got a year’s supply of Weet-Bix!"

"52 boxes of Weet-Bix. That’s all I got; and a medal."

To make matters worse, Naitanui told the podcast he doesnt't even like the breakfast cereal, and told them to just keep the boxes.

"I said keep your Weet-Bix - I don’t eat them. I thought I was getting a new car."

The Eagles live-wire is closing in on full fitness after tearing his ACL in round 22 last year, and is hopeful he can make a return to the AFL side towards the end of the home-and-away season.
