Richmond's injury crisis won't be worsened by suspension, with star defender Nick Vlastuin escaping the wrath of the match review officer.
Vlastuin has been cleared of any wrongdoing for a borderline rough tackle in Sunday's loss to St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.
Any dumping tackle means nervous times for the player involved, and St Kilda's Ryan Byrnes was awarded a free-kick in response.
But Byrnes played on, and wasn't injured, leaving the Tiger in the clear to line up against Essendon in Friday night's Dreamtime clash.
A suspension would have been a cruel blow to the Tigers, who last weekend were forced to play a VFL game without a single AFL-listed player.
The Tigers had only 25 fit players to choose from for the Saints clash and are juggling more injury concerns out of the game.
Other players weren't as fortunate, with Essendon's Xavier Duursma copping a $2000 fine with an early plea for rough conduct on Fremantle's Isaiah Dudley.
Docker Heath Chapman also copped a $1000 fine, with an early plea, for instigating a melee.
In a sign of a player/umpire contact crackdown, five players were pinged.
Murphy Reid (Fremantle), Zach Merrett (Essendon), Marcus Windhager (St Kilda), Seth Campbell (Richmond) and Lach Ash (GWS) can all accept $1000 fines for careless contact with umpire.
