Carlton have accepted the MRO's one-match sanction to Matthew Cottrell after he committed a dangerous tackle on Gold Coast's Ben Long on Sunday afternoon.
Cottrell was charged with rough conduct, with Michael Christian deeming the incident to be careless conduct with high contact and medium impact.
The Blues made the decision on Tuesday to accept the charge, meaning Cottrell is set to miss next weekend's clash with Hawthorn in Round 16, as they have their bye this upcoming weekend.
North Melbourne's Paul Curtis escaped sanction after some wondered whether he'd be cited for a kick to Bulldog Liam Jones' forearm.
Paul Curtis has no case to answer for kicking the arm of Liam Jones, while Carlton's Matt Cottrell has copped a one-week suspension for this incident with Gold Coast's Ben Long. https://t.co/1iROGTPl3V
