Melbourne has confirmed superstar midfielder Clayton Oliver was hospitalised on Thursday, with a Thursday evening report claiming the Demon suffered a seizure.
Early Thursday afternoon, the 26-year-old Demon was reported to have been admitted to Footscray Hospital for a head injury.

The Demons, who did not reveal the reason for Oliver's hospital admittance, released a statement late Thursday afternoon regarding the midfielder's condition.
"The Melbourne Football Club can confirm that Clayton Oliver was admitted to hospital," the statement reads.
"Clayton was transported to hospital via ambulance, following a medical episode.
"The hospital completed a number of tests and Clayton has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
"The Club will continue to work with Clayton and his medical support team to ensure he receives all the necessary treatment.
"We ask that media respect Clayton's privacy at this time."
Melbourne Football Club representatives are said to have talked to the ball-winner on Thursday, as they sought to collect all the details regarding his situation.
However, on Thursday evening,ย Sevenย Chief Football Reporter Mitch Cleary provided further detail on Oliver's condition, claiming a seizure was the source of the head injury.
"The Melbourne midfielder suffering whatย 7Newsย understands was a seizure that resulted in a head injury," Cleary reported.
"Oliver was then put through a series of scans and assessments at the Footscray Hospital, he was discharged just after midday and driven home by friends, where he is tonight recovering."

Morris initially reported the developments regarding Oliver via AFL Trade Radio early Thursday afternoon.
"I can confirm that Clayton Oliver was today at Footscray Hospital this morning. He had a CT scan and an x-ray," Morris reported.
"Now, Melbourne is still trying to ascertain all the details. But the good news is he's okay. He's been discharged and he's spoken to the club.
"We have spoken to Melbourne, they just didn't have the details. He's (Oliver) spoken to them.
"There's a lot of ambiguity around this and we're treading very carefully for obvious reasons.
"This is scary stuff because there's lots of rumours that are flying around. So, the most important thing is the welfare of the person. Clayton Oliver is okay. He's been discharged. He's spoken to people around him. Melbourne Football Club has spoken to him.
"Understandably, the Demons are trying to ascertain all the details before they put something out themselves, assuming they do."
