Western Bulldogs veteran Matthew Boyd has signed a one-year contract extension.

The 34-year-old, who will enter his 15th AFL season, after another successful campaign this year, earned his second All-Australian and a converted premiership in 2016.

“Matthew Boyd has been an extraordinary servant to our Club for many years,” List Manger Jason McCartney said.

“To contribute the way he did in his 14th season, is testament to his hard work and professionalism.”

“We’re really pleased Matthew will continue playing with us in 2017.”

Boyd averaged 27.9 disposals playing in 2016, playing predominantly off half back.
