Collingwood has provided injury updates on crucial trio Jordan De Goey, John Noble and skipper Darcy Moore after all three failed to escape last Friday night's win over Geelong without injury.

In his customary weekly update, Pies Head of High-Performance Jarrod Wade pressed that while Moore wouldn't feature this weekend, the defender had been "making positive steps towards recovery from a hamstring strain" after being subbed out of the win ahead of half-time.

"Captain Darcy Moore is making positive steps towards recovery from his hamstring strain sustained during Friday's win against Geelong. The defender has been running laps at training ahead of an expected return during the Finals series," Wade stated.

While no guarantees could be made several days out from selection, Wade claimed that De Goey (glute) and Noble (ankle) remained live chances to face off against Brisbane on Friday night.

"Jordan De Goey sustained a deep glute strain during Friday night's match. De Goey will be assessed prior to the side's Round 23 clash against Brisbane," Wade added.

"John Noble is another player left with an injury after the Geelong clash, suffering an injury to his ankle similar to one he sustained six weeks ago. The Defender will also be assessed ahead of Friday night's game."

Sidebottom was said to be in line for a recall after a foot injury kept him on the sidelines to start last weekend, with the winger to be "assessed later this week to determine his availability for selection this weekend."

The opening bounce of the top-four battle at Marvel Stadium is scheduled for 7:50pm (AEST)
