Brisbane Lions fans were left seething last night after Geelong capitalised on a clear throw to kick a goal.

Gary Ablett kicked a goal in the third term from a Patrick Dangerfield throw.

Unfortunately for Brisbane, the umpire did not have a clear view of the incident and award a free-kick.

Channel Seven commentator Brian Taylor raised the incident on-air but fellow commentator Wayne Carey had sympathy for the umpires.

“How is the umpire meant to pick up on that though.? He can’t see it,” Carey said on the telecast.

The incident did little to change the result as the Cats stormed into their first Grand Final since 2013 courtesy of a 40-point win.

Ablett wound back the clock to kick two goals in the stunning win.
