Brisbane have sent a strong warning to rival clubs regarding the future of star forward Charlie Cameron, reports SEN's Andrew Slevison.

The 26-year-old, who has recently been linked to a move away from the Lions, has been backed to remain with the club as they stand firm on his contract.

Lions CEO Greg Swann has denied any truth to rumours that have been attached to Cameron's name, following claims that Carlton and North Melbourne have expressed interest in All-Australian.

In an interview on SEN's Dwayne's World, Swann announced the club's position with Cameron's future.

“He’s not going anywhere," Swann said.

“I did see it and hear about it but we didn’t follow it up because it’s not true.

“He’ll be staying at the Lions, I have no doubt.

“He’s our most popular player and most of the jumpers and t-shirts and things are Charlie Cameron stuff. The kids love him and he is a good player, so he’s not going anywhere.”

Cameron has booted 85 goals in 41 games for the Lions since joining at the end of the 2017 season.
