Almost like clockwork, another Richmond player is set for some time on the sidelines after Dion Prestia injured his calf in the opening minutes of Saturday's fixture.
With only three other players outside of the starting 23 available for Richmond to select for the club's Round 8 game at Optus Stadium against West Coast, Adem Yze's men didn't have much wiggle room in terms of selection.
During the first quarter, that problem worsened for the Tigers, who have been crippled by injuries throughout their roster.
Prestia injured himself fairly innocuously in his seventh match for the season, with the 33-year-old moving slowly away from the contest before feeling for his calf.
Prestia joins 15 other Tigers on the injury list alongside first team talent Tim Taranto, Maurice Rioli, Toby Nankervis, Rhyan Mansell, Taj Hotton, Josh Gibcus, Sam Banks, Harry Armstrong and Sam Lalor.
The injury to Prestia comes after a long line of setbacks for the premiership Tiger, who has played 244 games for both Richmond and Gold Coast since being drafted with pick nine in 2010.
