Port Adelaide will be without Jack Hombsch for Saturday night's clash with Richmond at the Adelaide Oval.

The defender has been rested for the clash, with forward Jake Neade set to come into the line-up.

The move was one that was discussed on Adelaide radio station FiveAA on Friday, with former Adelaide premiership player Mark Bickley suggesting Hombsch could be managed this weekend.

“[There’s] some discussion around whether Jack Hombsch may be managed this week,” Bickley told FiveAA.

“You look at the match-ups, there’s not really a matchup for him, and out of the three tall defenders, he’s probably the one who has been in the least form.”

After playing 17 games for the Power in 2016, Neade made his first appearance for Port Adelaide in round 13 against Brisbane, with Saturday's match to be his third in a row in 2017.

Richmond will enter the match unchanged.
