Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury has been withdrawn from the Magpies' clash with Geelong at the MCG on Sunday with an ankle injury.

Pendlebury injured his ankle against the Lions last week and was considered touch and go to play the Cats, with the Sunday game giving him until the final minute to prove his fitness.

Ben Crocker comes into the side for the Magpies as Pendlebury's replacement.

Geelong will go in as named.
