Adelaide star Erin Phillips will miss the Crowsโ€™ grand final rematch against Brisbane on Saturday night, after suffering an injury at training.

Phillips suffered a quad strain at training, and has been replaced in the line-up by Sophie Armistead.

Phillips, who was crowned Adelaideโ€™s best and fairest winner in their premiership year, was in doubt during the week, but was set to line-up before being a late change.

โ€œWeโ€™re hoping itโ€™s only a minor injury, but weโ€™ll see how it settles down over the next few days,โ€ Crows coach Bec Goddard said.

โ€œWeโ€™ve managed Erinโ€™s training loads throughout her first, full football pre-season and she was on track to play right up until last night.

โ€œObviously, itโ€™s disappointing but it will be a good opportunity for other players to step up with Erin and another one of our leaders, Courtney Cramey, out of the side.โ€
