Richmond legend Kevin Bartlett is set to cook up a sausage sizzle for Carlton members, after losing a bet on SEN Radio this morning.
Bartlett said that the Blues would not be able to sign up 100 new members during his radio program, on what is the club's membership day, held in conjunction with SEN Radio.
"I fear for the existence of the Carlton Football Club and I feel in future that if you donโt get behind your club youโll be shunted off to Tasmania where Brendon Bolton the coach comes from . . . so what Iโm going to do is lay down the challenge. If you can buy 100 memberships today during my program, I will shout you a barbecue down at Ikon Park," Bartlett said.
Sure enough, Carlton fans responded in droves, with 270 fans signing up as new members during the program.
True to his word, KB confirmed he will cook a sausage sizzle for members at Ikon Park the day before the season opening clash between Richmond and Carlton on Thursday March 24 at the MCG.
More details about the sausage sizzle will be revealed by Carlton shortly.
