West Coast's gun forward Josh Kennedy could reportedly miss two to four more weeks of football after it was revealed this morning that the imposing forward has a 'small tear' in his calf.

Kim Hagdorn of 6PR radio in Perth broke the news this morning.

"It is a new injury, in the achilles, which actually has a small tear," Hagdorn said.

"He needs another couple of weeks to get over this.

"It's in the achilles as opposed to a little bit higher where he's had his calf troubles.

"It seems to have possibly come through his endeavours to prove his fitness, he's done some running on Monday but only straight line running."

With the Eagles running into Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs in the coming weeks, the injury is a big blow in a clogged ladder.

Hagdorn went on to say he wasn't convinced by the club's reports that it was originally a calf troubles, saying the way he went down hinted that he was more of an achilles problem.
