Carlton veteran Dale Thomas has been handed a massive $7500 fine by the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.

The 31-year old was referred to the Tribunal for abusing boundary umpire Michael Barlow during the Blues’ 93-point loss to GWS on Sunday.

It is alleged that Thomas told Barlow “you’re a f****ing cheat” after he informed the Giants that they had seven forwards at a centre bounce, infringing the 6-6-6 rule.
