Richmond midfielder Anthony Miles has been stretched off during the Tigers' VFL win over Box Hill on Saturday, after he was knocked out during the final quarter.

With the result already beyond doubt, Miles was chasing a ball that had gone over his head, before being collected by Hawk Kurt Heatherley, with the incident looking accidental.

Miles lay still on the turf before being stretched off, and was then taken to hospital as only a precaution.

In scenes reminiscent of Thursday night at Etihad Stadium, every Tiger on the field went over to Miles as he began to exit the field.

Miles would have been one of the Tigers favoured to replace Reece Conca in Richmond's AFL side following his injury during the Tigers' win over Sydney.

Richmond went on to defeat Box Hill by 47 points, and consolidate top spot on the VFL ladder.
