Collingwood forward Jamie Elliott has been ruled out of the Magpies' clash with St Kilda this weekend, after succumbing to a hamstring injury.

“Given Jamie’s history, we’re not going to take any chances there,” Collingwood's General Manager of Football Geoff Walsh told the club's website.

“So we’ll pull him out of selection availability this week, rehab it.

“It’s not a serious thing, in terms of what Jamie’s been through, but … we’ll see how he goes in the next week or so.”

Elliott has been plagued by injuries over recent years, playing 17 games in 2017 before missing the entire 2018 campaign.

Walsh also provided injury updates on Taylor Adams and Mason Cox, with Adams still "2-3 weeks away" from a return, while Cox will test this week, but could need another week to recover from a foot injury.
